Odisha: Over 300 Rescued From Flood Water evacuated in Rayagada, Kalahandi district

Bhubaneswar: Over 300 people marooned in flood water were evacuated in Rayagada and Kalahandi district on Sunday. They are being given cooked food.

One person died due to landslide in T Rampur block while three were injured. The injured were admitted in community health centre at Kashipur in Rayagada.


Though the rain has stopped since past one hour, the administrations have kept strict vigil on the situation and officers are in the field. The #Kalahandi district administration has opened free kitchen at Tulapada in Narla block of Kalahandi for 30 persons.
Free kitchen has also started at Kalampur block. Fire fighters, officials and villagers rescued 17 persons stranded atop trees due to torrential rain in Taratikili village under #Bhabanipatna block.
The Kalampur BDO with umbrella over his head ensuring mike announcement for evacuation of vulnerable inhabitants of the low lying Matikhal village.
