Odisha: 21 houses totally damaged due to landslide at Kulang village of Gajapati

Report by Bhagabat Padhi; Paralakhemundi: Continuous rainfall severely damaged yesterday the lives of Tribals at Kulang village of Gumma block. As a result 21 houses totally damaged by rainfall. Soonafter landslide occurred Collector Anupam Saha,Sub-Collector Rajanikant Swain,EX-MLA KSurya Rap,BDO Natabar Garada rushed at the spot.
Immediately those landslide victim families rehabilitated at nearest AWC & Church with supply of cooking food.Today MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu,SC & ST Minister Jagannath Saraka,MLA Sorada-cum-BJD Observer of Gajapati Purnachandra Swain, Collector Saha,SP Sarah Sharma,PD DRDA Chanchal Rana,BDO Garada,Princess Kalyani Devi & Special Development Council Ex-Chairman Antaryami Gamanga visited the spot & discussed with affected victims.Minister declared Biju Pucca Houses for all 21 families who lost their cottages.

Collector declared 1 lakh each with Housing Scheme under Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana for all 21 families. Subsequently Medical & Veterinary Team will check health of both humans & livestock respectively.They advised to come down to plain areas for residential scopes instead of staying at hill slope for safety & security.They assured all supported drinking water & sanitation facilities for all damaged victims.
