Odisha: 146 Mobile Medical Teams, 233 Medical Relief Camps have been functional in cyclone fani affected areas

Bhubaneswar: All out efforts and Pre-cautionary measures have been taken by the Health Department in the cyclone affected areas. Senior Officers have already taken stock of the situation in 6 most affected blocks of Puri District. While in the District Headquarter Hospitals of Puri and Khurda, all CHCs of Puri district and 10 out of 12 CHCs of Khurda district water supply has been restored, all government health facilities have become functional with power back up.

In the affected areas, 146 Mobile Medical Teams and 233 Medical Relief Camps have been functional. 76 doctors and 310 paramedics are deployed to affected districts out of which 20 doctors and 200 paramedics are deployed in the most affected 189 GPs of Khurda and Puri districts. Additional fund to the tune of Rs.10000 have been provided to all GKS to take up cleaning and sanitation works. More than 11000 cleanliness drives have been undertaken and 60476 open water sources have been disinfected. There is no report of any disease outbreak from any source so far.
