Angul: The students and staff members of O.P.Jindal School offered floral tribute to the great soul of our nation Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Veer Surendra Sai on their birth anniversary today. On this occasion the school also celebrated the Flag Day in its premises with great enthusiasm and spirit. While hoisting the National Flag today, toeing to historic Flag Day initiated by Shri Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) and Founder of Flag Foundation of India for the Indian Citizens. Mr. Chhanda Charan Das, Principal of OPJS attributed the illustrious leaders as great patriots and men of action with heavenly qualities endowed upon them.
Teaching staff and students of the School including Mrs Sangeeta Sharma, Dr Imran Perwaiz, Dr Mohan Sundar Meher, Mr R.K. Tripathy threw light on the significant contributions and sacrifice of the dominant national and international leaders. As a mark of tribute, a special assembly with patriotic prayer was conducted on the school premises followed by House Rally and March Past en-route. A series of House-wise cultural program including dance, skit, song and instrumental music by school students was centre of attraction on the occasion. The whole programme was fondly conducted by Mrs Poonam Singla,CCA – Coordinator and Dr Rishi Kumar Awasthi, Physical Education Teacher.
