Bhubaneswar: “NTPC Utkarsh” Merit Scholarship was distributed by Shri Debasis Sarkar, Group General Manager, NTPC Talcher Kaniha in a special function held at Kaniha recently i.e on 2nd April’2017.
Total 38 candidates received the scholarships including one B.Tech student with scholarship amount of Rs. 90,000/-.
While addressing on this occasion, Shri Sarkar told that “the objective of this scholarship is to promote the poor and weaker section of the society and specially to motivate the girl students towards education for a better future ahead”.
Other senior officials like Shri L. D. Sahoo, GM(O&M); Shri P. K. Mohapatra, GM(Maintc.); Shri A. K. Ojha, GM(HR); Shri S. Ghosh, GM(Operations); Shri Arun Prasad, GM(C&M); Shri N. S. Rao, GM(TS) & Shri Anil Jana, GM(FM) graced the occasion and motivated the students. In this programme, students, teachers & guardians earmarked the newly launched scholarship scheme and appreciated the initiative of NTPC towards education.
