Kaniha: A screening camp for physically challenged who can be corrected surgically was organized in NTPC Talcher Kaniha hospital on February 23,2020 in association with Aakar Asha Hospital, Hyderabad. A total of 52 patients attended the camp out of which 15 were selected.
Those selected will be sent to Aakar Asha Hospital, Hyderabad for corrective surgery. The director of above Hospital Dr. Bharatendu Swain and his surgical colleague, Dr. Reginold Lam did the screening. The cost of surgery, food for patients and his attendant will be borne by NTPC. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Sudip Nag ,Chief General Manager ,NTPC Talcher Kaniha in presence of Sr.Officials of the Station. The Hospital team led by Dr. R K Mishra & station doctors assisted in organizing the program.
