Kaniha: NTPC Talcher Kaniha organised a Safety Circle Meet on 22.11.2017 for the year 2017-18.The programme was inaugurated by Shri Ram Kuber ,Executive Director,Talcher Kaniha .Speaking on the occasion Shri Kuber said “all functional departments should report near misses ,take action to prevent accidents and moreover the accidents if any should be reported without delay to improve the safety standards in day to day operations of the power station”.
The objective of organizing of the safety meet was to enhance safety culture at station level involving employees and workers. A total 15 teams participated out which 10 teams were represented by contracting agency workers and 5 teams were represented by NTPC employees from various departments.
The one day long programme included deliberations & presentations by the participants. During the presentation the teams showcased the best practices, innovative ideas already implemented as case studies for creating awareness among the audience & participants. Safety Circle Team from Mgr Dept. won the first prize during the meet.
Shri A K Tripathy ,GM(O&M),Shri P K Mahapatra ,GM(Maintenence) ,Shri N S Rao ,GM(TS) ,Shri Anil Jana ,GM(FM),Shri S S Behera,AGM(Safety) & senior officials were also present on the occasion.
