Kaniha: With the aim to promote and encourage students in learning Science and Mathematics, NTPC Talcher Kaniha is supporting Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) under its CSR initiative. Developed as a unique initiative, Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) aims to inculcate curiosity and creativity among students in the areas of Science and Mathematics. NTPC Talcher Kaniha is actively implementing this one year long initiative in 10 Upper Primary schools around the Station.
The hardware and learning resource kits will be provided by UNISED (Unit of Science and Educational Development) in these 10 identified schools and the schools will be equipped with solar power operated audio-visual system (smart classrooms). The primary objective of this project is to provide an enhanced learning environment in Classes VI, VII and VIII which facilitates creativity in school students.
One of the primary focus areas of RAA is to strengthen the support of teachers and to bring Information and Communication Technology(ICT) into the learning atmosphere in Government schools. Various learning tools, supplementary resource material, Science & Mathematics kits along with laboratories will be provided to the students. With a special focus on education, NTPC Talcher Kaniha continues to lend its support towards CSR activities that aim to promote innovation and experimentation among students.
