Talcher: Durga Puja was celebrated with all religious ceremony at NTPC Talcher Kaniha.The annual puja dedicated to Goddess Durga was organized by Sarvajanina Puja Committee of the Power Station. Like every year Goddess Durga idol was installed at Durga Mandap located at PTS Township. Durga Puja festival marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura. Thus,Durga Puja festival symbolizes the victory of Good over Evil.
During the puja ,Aastami and Nabami day attracted thousands of devotees visiting the pandal which included villagers from nearby by station.Head of the station ,Shri Ramesh Babu V ,Executive Director ,NTPC Kaniha and Smt Vani V ,President ,Tanvi Sangam participated in the puja celebration with other senior officials, employees,representatives of Employees Union and association.
A mahaprasad programme was organised in which more than 5000 people including employees and associates took part to celebrate nabami puja.Various colourful cultural programme were organised in the occasion. The Puja will conclude on 08.10.2019 with Ravan podi ceremony.
