Kaniha: Rajesh Kumar, New Regional Executive Director of NTPC, Eastern Region II, Bhubaneswar, visited Talcher Kaniha on 06.04.2017. This was the maiden visit of Regional Executive Director after taken over the charge of NTPC Eastern Regional II. Shri Debasis Sarkar, Group General Manager, Talcher Kaniha and senior officials of the power station welcomed him on his arrival at Himgiri Guest House.
During the one day tour to Talcher Kaniha, Shri Kumar visited Vishnumurty Site, Stage I & Stage II power units of the power station, Kaniha mines & Ash pond area.
Later he had a review meeting with senior officials of the station at Vivekananda Hall. During the meeting, he shared his views on the performance of power station and hoped that performance of the power station can be improved further with specific targets with better planning and execution. He also touched upon the safety aspects of the power station and held discussions on important issues related to the power station.
