Bhubaneswar: There are no proposals for opening or audit of Ratna Bhandar, the treasure trove of Holy Trinity of Puri Srimandir. State law minister Pratap Jena informs Odisha Assembly while replying to queries by MLAs Suresh Routray & Kusum Tete.
Minister Jena informed that Ratna Bhandar opend last time in July 14, 1985. There are 456 gold, 236 silver ornaments in Ratna Bhandar.
In 1926 and 1978, enumeration works had been conducted. After checking of the jewelleries in treasure trove in 1978, which took 70 days to complete, a 142-page booklet containing their numbers and types had been prepared by the Government.
