NINL’s ‘BRAHMANI’ is Now A 3000 Ton Plus Blast Furnace

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Kalinga Nagar-based Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) added another feather to its cap by producing highest ever single-day hot metal of 3001 ton on 13th May, 2018.
The Kalinga Nagar-based company is climbing new heights in production soon after completing its blast furnace capital repair – the first landmark for the turnaround of the company. Shri S.S. Mohanty, Vice-Chairman & MD, NINL congratulated the NINL collective for surpassing the 3000 mark in hot metal production which the company targeted and aims to sustain. Efforts are made to bench mark all the parameters to the world class standard.
NINL has immediate plans to resume steel billet production with maximum capacity utilization of the Steel Melting Shop. NINL has lined up several activities this Financial Years to strengthen its bottom-line which includes steel billet production, operation of its captive mines and many cost optimization schemes. This will be important landmarks for the turnaround of the integrated steel plant at Kalinga Nagar.
