Bhubaneswar: The Quality Circle teams of Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) started off their campaign this year in a triumphant note with two teams each winning Gold and Silver Awards respectively at Bhilai Chapter Convention of the Quality Circle Federation of India (QCFI). The company’s Team Technosmile and Team Mars of Coke Oven won Gold Awards whereas Team Neelachakra of Power Plant and Team Utkarsh of RMHS won silver awards at the regional convension in Bhilai on 9th September, 2018. Sri S.S. Mohanty, Vice-Chairman & MD, NINL, congratulated the winning teams and said that innovation and creativity play crucial role in the growth of a company in the competitive world of the present time.”
The chapter conventions of QCFI provides common platform to various teams from different industries to compete showcasing their innovations applied at their respective manufacturing units.
The NINL QC teams participated at the regional chapter after being reviewed at the internal evaluation session of the company. Total nine teams are nominated to participate at various chapter conventions of the QCFI. Other five teams to further participate at Vishakhapatnam and Rourkela chapters.
In the previous year campaign, six QC teams came out in flying colours at National convention at Mysuru winning “Par Excellence” awards whereas seven teams had won Gold Awards at different regional conventions.
