New Police Outpost under Hirakud Police Station Inaugurated

Report by Odisha Diary bureau, Hirakud: A new police outpost under Hirakud police station constructed by Hindalco on the Hirakud-Remed main Road near the Cheptipulia bridge was formally inaugurated and dedicated to the public by Sri Akhileswar Singh SP Sambalpur in presence of Sri Rajesh Kumar Gupta Head Hindalco-Hirakud in a function held here today. Guests present during the programme also planted saplings adjoining the premises to mark the occasion.
Speaking during the occasion Sri Akhileswar Singh SP Sambalpur said that the outpost will go a long way in bringing the Police closer to the  denizens of the locality and will be instrumental in bringing down the crime rate.
Sri Rajesh Kumar Gupta reiterated on Hindalco’s commitment for serving the cause of society. Besides, extending support for the police outpost, the company has replaced 46 Street lights on the Hirakud Remed road with energy efficient LED lights. Going forward other identified lightposts on the same road will be replaced for the benefit of people, he added.
Present among others were Sri Abakash Routray SDPO Burla, Sri Amitabh Panda IIC Hirakud, Sri Tophan Bagh IIC Burla, officials and Staff members Hirakud and Sambalpur police station, employees and Senior officials of Hindalco including Sunil Bailwar Head Safety, JP Nayak Head Smelter, Rakesh Gupta Head Power, Nirmal Sinha Head HR, Shivanand Mohanty DGM External Affairs, Members of Senior citizens forum Hirakud and community volunteers.
