Mumbai: NCP finally says that 50 MLAs are with the party, only 4 MLAs including Ajit Pawar are not with Sharad Pawar.
Nawab Malik says 5 of our MLAs are not in contact with us, 6 are about to arrive&rest have arrived. On the basis of numbers we have, we’ll defeat the government in election of speaker itself. After which, Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government will definitely be formed in Maharashtra.
When asked about the 17 missing MLAs, NCP clarifies that they couldn’t reach by 4:30 pm but all are in touch.
According to the NCP Statement released after party meeting, Sharad Pawar and Jayant Patil are authorised to take final decision on Ajit Pawar’s future in the party. All rights of Legislative party leader have been given to Sharad Pawar and Jayant Patil.
