Naveen Patnaik failed to effect developments in Odisha in last 17 years : BJP Chief Amit Shah

Bhubaneswar: BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday criticised the ruling BJD government for the alleged poverty and backwardness of the State. Addressing a mass gathering of party’s booth-level workers at Panikoili, Shah said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has failed to effect developments during the last 17 years.

BJP national president Amit Shah vowed to make Odisha number one province in terms of development, if voted to power in 2019 elections. “Look at the BJP ruled states like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra; you find development is at peak everywhere. BJP will change the fate of Odisha in five years if comes to power,” Shah said.
Shah said work for winning 120 seats has begun and the party would oust the Naveen Government in 2019 polls. Though the Centre has given huge amounts of funds to the State under various heads, the Government here has failed in utilising them, he said.

Shah visited Binjharpur and held talks with five villagers followed by lunch at the house of Debananda Mallick, a Dalit sarpanch. Thereafter, he addressed a meeting at Areie which was attended by Union Ministers Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan.
In Jajpur town, he also offered prayers at the Biraja Temple . BJP workers extended warm welcome president Amit Shah at Chhattia, Barchandan, Chandikhol, Neulpur, Nalipur, Baruanh and Jajpur town.
