Bhubaneswar: The foundation stone for ladies and gents hostel in Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Odisha was laid by Shri Prafulla Samal, Hon’ble Minister, MSME, W&CD & SSEPD on 28th February, 2019 in presence of Shri L.N. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME, Shri P.J. Nath, Director of Industries, Odisha & CEO, IED Odisha, Shri P.K. Jena, Managing Director, OSIC and Shri B.B. Mishra, Principal IED Odisha.
Bhumi Pujan was done by Hon’ble Minister followed by meeting was in Conference Hall of IED. The Hon’ble Minister told this as a long pending work which will cater to the need of students of IED and outstation entrepreneurs to stay in Bhubaneswar for various entrepreneurship & skill trainings for next 20 years. The Additional Chief Secretary, MSME expressed his happiness over the progress made by IED in the last 3 years and hoped that Institute will cater to need of students, entrepreneurs and Startups in a great way. Previously, trainings could not be conducted inside IED campus for outstation trainees. The Managing Director, OSIC Shri P K Jena said that 102 beded gents hostel and 44 beded ladies hostel would be completed in a shortest time of one year. Shri Pranabjyoti Nath, Director of Industries, Odisha and Chief Executive Officer, IED emphasised about the progress made in the last three years under the able leadership of the ACS, MSME Department. The Livelihood Business Incubation (LBI) centre and Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC), Integrated MBA and Startup initiatives are being carried out in the Institute which needs hostel facility in a great way. The students of the Institute recited the patriotic song “Vande Utkal Janani…” at the beginning of the function. At the end of ceremony Shri Bidhu Bhusan Mishra, Principal of the Institute proposed vote of thanks to all the dignitaries.
