Monsoon spread to all parts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon spread to all parts of the State on Saturday, said the latest bulletin of the Indian Meteorological Centre here.

The monsoon, which has hit the coastal region, advanced to the remaining districts as a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal now lies over interior Odisha, the bulletin said.

Rain occurred in entire State in the last 24 hours, except Deogarh district. The average rainfall was recorded at 19 mm. Six blocks had rainfall of over 100 mm and 25 blocks between 50 mm and 100 mm rain.

Heavy rain are likely to occur in districts of Balangir, Boudh, Gajapati Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Rayagada till Sunday morning.

Light to moderate rains or thundershower are likely in most places over the districts of interior Odisha and at many places over the coastal districts for the next two days.
