Report by Nishapati Nayak, Sunabeda: Sunabeda Municipality Organized A Mega Camp Regarding PradhanMantriAwasYojanaWork Order, Individual Household Latrine Application (IHHL)-Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban ,Revolving Fund Distribution, Madhu Babu Pension Yojana Distribution etc.
Around 76 SOG GROUPS WERE PROVIDED 10,000 RUPEES CHEQUE each under Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 20 personsgot benefit Distribution of1500bucks,under IHHL schemes 2400 person’s got work order and in and ABAAS 900 got distributed earlier and today 100 got distributed. Those who have completed ABBAS they have provided complete certificates.
Abaas mission would serve to fulfill the promise of protection and welfare of slum dwellers by providing affordable houses along with basic amenities like piped water supply, electricity, concrete roads, drainage and community centre, stated Swastik Jamadar, executive officer.
The state government has notified “Policy for Housing for All in Urban Areas” for providing enabling framework for implementation of affordable housing projects, slum rehabilitation and re-development projects, and to facilitate development of housing schemes in urban areas, especially for people belonging to EWSs & LIGs.
With a view to protect the interests of the slum dwellers, the policy provides detailed guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure to be followed while evicting the slum dwellers for construction of dwelling houses for them or for construction of road, drain or other critical public infrastructure, Swastik Jamadar,(ors), executive officer, sunabeda municipality said.
The policy also outlines institutional mechanism for sustainable operation and maintenance of the housing projects to ensure proper maintenance of the project area, he said.
“I believe that with the implementation of this policy in Mission mode, we will be able to completely address the housing deficit in urban areas in a time bound manner and have an operational system, where housing supply matches the demand, even various government schemes will be implement in future days for the benefit of society in local under sunabeda municipality.please ensure to keep sorroundings clean and follow swatch Added subhashree Mallick, chairman sunabeda municipality.
This program was coordinated in presence of chairman, sunabeda municipality Mrs.subashree mallick, vice-chairman, mr.ratnakar Nanda,mr.swastik Jamadar, executive officer , sunabeda municipality,mr.prabhatsutar,M.P representative, mr.bharat mallick,ex-councillor in support of entire staff and councillors of sunabeda municipality.
Housing & Urban Development Department, Odisha State Housing Board, Development Authorities, Municipal Bodies as well as Private Sector to make effective use of this policy to convert housing dream of people into a reality. Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for Housing Projects for people of economically weaker sections and slumdwellers of Odisha stated mrs.subhashree mallick, chairman, sunabeda municipality.
This program was witnessed with huge crowd with different age group and vote of thanks was delivered by mr.chita Ranjan.
