Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that extensive amendments and simplifications have been made in the labour laws in the state and various types of facilities are being provided to the industries. This has made establishing and running of industries in the state very easy. Now we must not delay in inviting industries to the state as this is a golden opportunity. Discussions should be held with all industrial organizations, industrial houses etc. and efforts should be made to establish maximum industries here.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was holding a discussion in Mantralaya today on industrial land and policy scenario in the state. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Industries Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary MSME Shri Manu Srivastava, Principal Secretary Shri Manish Rastogi, Secretary Science and Technology Shri M. Selvendran etc. were present in the meeting.
Land for industries easily available
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that with land pooling policy, sufficient land is available for industries in the state. In the major cities of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Rewa, 2 thousand 902 hectares of developed land and 10 thousand 673 hectares of undeveloped land is available for industries. The value of the land has also been kept very low.
Our children should also set up industries
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have made such an industrial policy so that children of our state can also establish industries here. The government is giving various types of facilities for the establishment of small, medium and micro industries and is providing loans for setting up industries at very low interest rates.
More possibilities for food processing and garment industry
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the government is providing more facilities and assistance for food and garment industry in comparison to other states. Therefore, there is more possibility of establishing industry in both these areas. Industries related to rice, various types of pulses and oil etc. can be established in the food processing industry.
Electricity will be available for industries at Rs 4 per unit
It was informed at the meeting that a scheme has been chalked out in the state under which setting up of a separate power company is being considered for providing electricity to industries. In this case, we will be able to provide electricity to the industries at Rs 4 per unit instead of Rs. 7.50 per unit.
I.T. Park in Bhopal
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that today there are huge employment opportunities in the field of information technology. A plan should also be made to establish an I.T. park in Bhopal. It was told that Madhya Pradesh government is getting 600 acres of land of B.H.E.L.
Pay attention to your shortcomings
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that with regard to the establishment of industries, we should also pay attention to our shortcomings and see how they can be overcome. Air connectivity of the state is not very good and it is a ‘land locked’ state. We have to improve our air connectivity.
