Bhopal: Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana programme will be held on August 7 at all 25 thousand 435 fair price shops in the state. In the dignified programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also address the beneficiaries by holding virtual dialogue. Ration material will be distributed in bags to 100 beneficiaries per shop with social distancing at each shop. Invitation will also be given to the beneficiaries a day earlier. Cultural programmes will also be organised at the venue.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will virtually join the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana program on 7 August at 11 am. He said that the participation of all public representatives would also be ensured in the Anna Yojana programme. Ministers, MPs and MLAs will launch the programme in their respective areas. In each district, one IAS officer has been appointed as the officer-in-charge for arranging the programme.
Nodal Officer at each shop
In the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana programme, a nodal officer for each fair price shop will be appointed by the District Collector, who will oversee the preparation and arrangements of the programme. The nodal officers will report all the preparations at the shop allotted to them to the control room set up in the district. There will also be a social team for each shop, which will include members of the Vigilance Committee, Crisis Management Committee, Gram Panchayat Secretary and local prominent citizens.
Distribution of ration material in bags
Under the National Food Security Act, in the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, ration items in bags will be distributed to all eligible families. Ration material will be given in bags to 100 beneficiaries per shop on the day of the programme. On the same day, at 9 A.M, the beneficiaries will be invited to the site of the event after taking out a morning parade in the village. Eligible beneficiaries of other villages affiliated to fair price shop will also be invited. The beneficiaries attending the program at the fair price shop would be welcomed with a tilak.
Regarding the preparations for the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana programme, the Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Shri Faiz Ahmed Kidwai has issued guidelines to all the Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors.
