Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan calls upon people at Forgiveness Day programme

 

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan called upon people to make intensive efforts at the social level to make the principle of ‘Live and Let Live’ universal and acceptable to all. He said that the elite of the society must come forward to create awareness in the society in this direction. Shri Chouhan was addressing the ‘Forgiveness day’ programme organized at Campion School today under the aegis of Shri Jain Shwetamber Sakal Samiti, Bhopal. The Chief Minister asked for forgiveness at the programme and felicitated ascetics Shri Shital Kothari, Shri Ashok Nahata and Shri Vishal Bafna. Mumbai’s religious worker Shri Girish Bhai Shah was also in town to take part in the programme.

The CM said if everyone adopts the principle of Ahinsa Parama Dharma, there would be eternal peace in the world and all chaos and fights will be over. He said that only one who has won over himself can forgive others, he is a Mahaveer. CM Shri Chouhan stressed on the need to save and educate girls and informed about the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Chhatra Yojana. He said that women have reservation in government jobs. Shri Chouhan invited those present to attend the Forgiveness Day programme to be organized at the CM House.

The programme began with garlanding of Prabhu Parshavanath’s statue and memento’s were gifted to guests. Mayor Shri Alok Sharma, State BJP Vice-President Shri Brijesh Lunawat, Sakal Sangh Sachiv Shri Pradip Luniya, Shri Rahul Kothari and large number of Shri Jain Shwetamber Samaj members were present on the occasion.
