Madhya Pradesh CM addresses about stopping third corona wave

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that at present we are facing a double challenge. You all have worked continuously to prevent Covid infection in the districts under your charge. As a result, Madhya Pradesh has got almost complete control over Corona infection with the active cooperation of the people. Now we have to put in all our efforts to ensure that the third wave of Corona does not enter Madhya Pradesh and even if it does, its effect should be negligible.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that public life has been adversely affected and the pace of development has come to a standstill due to Corona. We have to normalize public life and speed up development. In the coming times, our priority will be employment, education and welfare of all sections along with health.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the public-participation model of Corona control of the state has received all round appreciation. In the coming times, not only must we ensure that Corona infection does not enter the state, but we must also fulfill the dream of a new Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh by giving pace to the roadmap of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. Not me or you, together we will create the history of the state.

In an informal meeting with the members of the Cabinet at Ichhawar, Sehore today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan held an in-depth brainstorming on various issues including Corona control along with all the members of the Council of Ministers.

Awareness and caution must to stop third wave

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that to prevent the third wave of Corona infection, we must work on a solid strategy to minimize its impact. Looking at the global scenario, it is estimated that there is a possibility of a third wave in the next three or four months. The possibility of a third wave will increase due to rise in activities as a result of unlock and non-compliance with Covid guidelines. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we will have to remain constantly alert and aware. We will have to motivate people to follow Corona appropriate behaviour. People will have to be motivated to wear masks, maintain distance, avoid crowding and wash hands frequently. Crisis Management Committees have an important role in this.

This will be the future Corona control strategy

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona tests will continue to be conducted in all districts to maintain control over Corona infection. More than 75 thousand tests will be conducted daily so that if any positive case comes up, it can be immediately identified. Arrangements have been made to ensure that the test reports come in a day. Contact of whoever tests positive, will be traced and treatment will be done by keeping the positive person in home isolation or in Covid Care Center. Kill-Corona campaign will continue in the state. Every single person affected by cold, cough or fever will be identified and free treatment will be ensured.

Arrangements for the third wave

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that necessary infrastructure is being prepared and arrangements are being made to face the third wave in the state. Activities are underway to strengthen the health infrastructure. Special attention should be given to the availability of oxygen in hospitals, increasing beds, construction of ICU wards and training of para medical staff. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that if there is infection in even one or two houses, the infection should be confined and ended there by creating a micro-containment area.

Arrangements for treatment of children

The possibility of children being affected more in the third wave is being expressed. Therefore, arrangements are being made to increase the availability of paediatricians, training of para medical staff for treatment of children, vaccination and other procedures. Work is in progress to increase ICU wards, oxygen beds etc., to provide adequate equipment, medicines and treatment material for children.

Need to create environment must

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is necessary to adopt Corona appropriate behavior to stop the third wave. For this, an environment will have to be created at the village and ward level. Slogans, catchy sentences should be used in the local language. Banners, hoardings, wall-paintings must be used to motivate people to wear masks, maintain safe distance, etc. Medium like voice message, video message etc must also be used to inspire people. Vaccination is also very effective in preventing the third wave. All the ministers, MPs, MLAs, members of the Crisis Management Committee, Corona Volunteers, Jan-Abhiyan Parishad and ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and all the field staff should create an environment for vaccination together, and give it the form of a campaign. Minor forest produce associations and forest committees should also be included in the campaign in tribal areas.

Teamwork made Corona control possible

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the control of Corona infection became possible only because of your cooperation, hard work and dedication. Today only 242 cases of Corona have surfaced. The positivity rate is 0.3 percent. All this is the result of teamwork. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan thanked all the ministers for this.

Group of Ministers for Alternative Sources of Income

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the economic condition of the state has been affected due to Corona infection. The shortfall will be filled by making alternate arrangements and other sources of income. Revenue will be used economically and better recovery will be ensured. With continuous efforts and better management in this direction, we will continue the system as per the target. A Group of Ministers will be constituted to identify other sources of income and submit the report after compiling the suggestions received on alternative arrangements. The GoM will submit its report by the end of June.

Education system at school and college level

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that how the education system will be at school and college level under the circumstances created by Covid must also be considered. Other issues to be considered are as to what extent and how technology can be used in this and what other innovations or initiatives can be taken.

Reforms in health and education

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that new sub, primary and community health centers and CM Rise School have to be established in the state. These centers will expand better health facilities and provide quality education to the students. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that humanitarian approach should be taken in setting up health centers and schools. In areas where there is a shortage of health facilities and schools, centers should be established on priority basis. All provisions of the new education policy will be implemented in the CM Rise Schools.

Schemes for welfare of all sections

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that suggestions have also been invited on schemes for the welfare of poor, farmers, women and children. Development activities and public welfare programmes will continue in the state for which adequate funds will have to be arranged. Other sources of income and alternative arrangements will have to be considered. The welfare of the poor and creation of employment opportunities for the youth will have to be considered.

Employment to one lakh youth in a month

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that an action plan would be prepared to provide employment opportunities to one lakh youth in a month in the state. Under this, efforts will be made to provide them not only government jobs but also private sector jobs. Under this, training will be given in money-oriented courses, animal husbandry, dairy development, blacksmithing, gardening etc. Training will be given in relation to various small and cottage industries.

Vaccinations to be speeded up

There is a need to expand immunization activities in the state. It has to be completed in record time in the state by giving it the form of a campaign. Vaccination is the Suraksha Chakra. An innovative model of vaccination campaign is to be presented to prevent Corona in the state.

Three-day massive vaccination campaign will start from July

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that in the first week of July, a three-day massive campaign for vaccination would be started from July 1 to 3. He said that I, all the members of the Cabinet, members of the Corona Volunteers Crisis Committee, will take to the streets and appeal to the public to get vaccinated. For this, vaccination should be widely publicized through hoardings, banners, wall paintings, video spots etc., so that more and more people can get vaccinated.

Now ration will be given in bag from fair price shops

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that free ration is being provided to the poor.Central government has extended supply of free ration till the month of November. Now ration will be given in bags from fair price shops. Messages regarding vaccination and other schemes will also be printed on the bag.

Chain to continue

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the last meeting of the Cabinet was held on January 5 at Kolar Dam, in which it was decided that such informal meetings would be held once in every six months but due to Corona this could not be possible. But this chain will continue. The meeting began with the rendition of Vande Mataram. A two-minute silence was observed for the peace of souls of those who passed away due to Corona infection.
