Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Participated in Ravan Dahn Programme at Chhola Maidan

 

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged citizens to discard the Ravan like evils. He mentioned that corruption, terrorism and insanitation will be eradicated and administered pledge for dignity and respect towards the women beside good education of the children. Shri Chouhan said this in a Ravan Dahn programme held at Chhola Dusshera Maidan here today.

CM Shri Chouhan said that dignity and respect of women are supreme in Indian Culture. Disrespect towards women, corruption, terrorism and insanitation etc. are characteristics of Ravan. He further mentioned that Lord Shree Ram will set ablaze the effigy of Ravan today. We will have to discard anger, enchantment and arrogance etc. He extended greetings of Vijayadashmi to the citizens on the occasion and urged the people to follow the ideals of Shree Ram. Moreover, Shri Chouhan stated that Bhopal city has bagged second position among the clean cities of the country last year. Citizens will have to take resolve to make it number 1. At the outset, Shri Chouhan welcomed Shree Ram Sena and performed pooja–archana.

Minister of State for Cooperatives Shri Vishwas Sarang said that Vijayadashmi is a festival of victory of good over evil. Take resolve to end social evils, he added.

President Shri Hindu Utsav Samiti Shri Kailash Baigvani welcomed the guests and gave the welcome speech. Shri Kailash Mishra also addressed the programme. Mayor Shri Alok Sharma, Office Bearers of Hindu Utsav Samiti and devotees in large number were present on the occasion.
