Kotak Mahindra Bank launches ‘Aadhaar on Wheels’ for Pune citizens

Mumbai : Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd (KMBL) today announced the launch of “Aadhaar on Wheels” in Pune – a mobile Aadhaar Seva Kendra that will provide convenient Aadhaar services to citizens including senior citizens, the differently abled, pregnant women and others. KMBL’s “Aadhaar on Wheels” will provide all key services offered by a conventional Aadhaar Seva Kendra such as enrolling for Aadhaar and updation of Aadhaar details.

 

cid:[email protected] Apte, Non-Executive Chairman, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Lt. Col. Akshay Yadava, Assistant Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), inaugurated this service in Pune today.

 

The vehicle will operate within the city limits and provide services to a wider network of residents from various locations such as residential societies, educational institutions, hospitals, government offices, corporate offices, etc. The service will also be available on select holidays.

 

Lt. Col. Akshay Yadava, Assistant Director General, UIDAI said, “Kotak Mahindra Bank’s “Aadhaar on Wheels” initiative is a conscious step towards providing Digital Enablement to every resident of India, a drive launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) and UIDAI.”

This initiative is inspired by Kotak’s successful project – ATM on Wheels, which was launched last year during the pandemic to help customers with essential banking services during the lockdown period.
