Khandadhar Suraksha Sangram Samiti vows to protect Khandadhar

Report by Odisha Diary bureau, Khandadhar: Khandadhar Surakhya Gana Satyagraha organised mass agitation. The Khandadhar Suraksha Sangram Samiti has said it would by all means protect interests of tribal people, including Paudi Bhuyans and Mundaris, of Sundargarh and Keonjhar districts and would not let the Khadadhar waterfall and mines looted by any company.
The Samiti resolved this during a three-day Satyagraha held by it from January 26 to 28. While Lokshakti Abhiyan State president Prafulla Samantara staged a fast agitation, members of various people’s movements and mass organisations participated in the Satyagrah.
The meeting was presided by Mr. Jhura Nayak, President of Khandadhar Surakshya Sangram Samittee and coordinated by Narendra Mohanty, Convener of Banabasi Surakshya Parisad, Kandhamal/INSAF, Odisha.
