Berhampur: Khallikote University, Berhampur has collaborated with the Odisha State Open University (OSOU) , Sambalpur on 13th August, 2018. The ultimate objective of the joint endeavor is to help the youth in acquiring adequate knowledge and skills that is required for assessing wide range of employment opportunities. The collaboration intends to provide skill based and job oriented programmes by developing appropriate modules for the benefit of the students. Currently, the following sectors are planned to be provided to the students, such as: IT Skill -Basic Computer & Soft skill; Communicative English; Leadership & Personality Development and Entrepreneurship Development.
The collaboration happened at Khallikote University, where the Vice-Chancellors, Registrars and faculty members of both the Universities shared their academic expertise and the technical amalgamation to help the students community.
Professor (Dr.) Srikant Mohapatra, Vice-Chancellor, OSOU, insisted the need of virtual learning and the merger will bring Learning Management System (LMS) of blended learning in mobile apps to a hybrid form especially for the marginalized and social inclusion.
Professor (Dr.) Amarendra Narayan Misra, Vice-Chancellor, Khallikote University welcomed the view of Dr. Mohapatra and opined of organizing specialized training programs and giving back to the society through skill development programs.
Dr. Jayanta Kar Sharma, Registrar, OSOU and Mr. Kishore Chandra Das (O.A.S.), Registrar of Khallikote University signed the deal.
