Kalinga Nagar: With the energy consumption growing with every passing day in the country, industries in the National Manufacturing Zone of Kalinga Nagar came under one umbrella and participated in a brainstorming workshop on 28th June 2019 intended to identify barriers for scaling-up energy efficiency measures.
The workshop was organised by Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL) under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, in association with International Copper Association India (ICAI) and Power Tech Consultants (PTC) for implementation of large scale energy efficiency project through Integrated Energy Efficiency Services (IEES) model of EESL in the National Manufacturing Zone of Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex.
In this regard, EESL has already signed MoU with Kalinga Nagar based Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) for Implementation of Energy Efficiency Projects through innovative financial models.
Mr. S.P. Garnaik, CGM (Tech) of EESL and Mr. Bibhu Charan Swain, Senior Consultant and Accredited Energy Auditor of Power Tech Consultant delivered technical talks on measures for energy efficiency through model of EESL.
Sri Manoj Kumar, Director, Visa Steel Limited; Sri Mangal Deo Pandit of Tata Steel Limited; Mr. P.K. Gupta, Consultant, International Copper Association India (ICAI) also spoke on the subject.
Around 50 industrial delegates from Large Industries participated like Tata Steel Ltd, Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd, Visa Steel Ltd, Jindal Stainless Limited, Rohit Ferro Tech Ltd, Mesco Ispat & Steel Ltd., Balasore Alloys Limited, Maithan Ispat Ltd, Yazdani Steel & Power Ltd were present during workshop.
