Bhubaneswar: One of Odisha’s leading thinktank and advocacy groups, Kalinga Kusum Foundation, has joined Kalinga Literary Festival (KLF) in Koraput as a knowledge partner. Through this collaboration, Kalinga Kusum will extend its knowledge advisory in its expertise areas of child rights, socio-economic development, policy advocacy, social inclusion, entrepreneurship and empowerment. A decision to this effect was taken here in the capital on 5th March 2018 to mark the birthday of the legendary leader and maker of modern Odisha Shri Biju Patnaik.

The partnership will extend to Kalinga Literary Festival Koraput’s all activities in literature promotion, events, publications and outreach programmes. It should be noted that KLF has started reaching out to different cities of the state. Last year, KLF had achieved great success and admiration from the literary community of Odisha for its initiative in organising the first-ever Kandhamal Literary Festival. This year in April KLF is organising a two-day literary festival in Koraput.

Kalinga Kusum is a Bhubaneswar based not for profit initiative engaged in cutting-edge research, programme implementation, legislative engagement, sensitization and skills development programmes. The Founder President of Kalinga Literary Festival, Shri Rashmi Ranjan Parida believes that Kalinga Kusum, given its commitment to social inclusion and wide network in Odisha will add great value to Kalinga Literary Festival Koraput’s attempt to reach out to southern corner of the state.

Kalinga Kusum’s advisor and mentor Shri Sujeet Kumar has high hopes from this partnership and strongly argued in favour of a collaborative approach among civil society groups to work on important and emerging issues that people of Odisha are facing.
