Angul: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has been honored with ‘Best Learning & Development Team of the Year’ award for promoting culture of collaborative learning practices and continuous knowledge sharing among employees at its Angul unit. On behalf of the Company its Manager (HR&ES) Mr. Soumeek Das and MT (HR & ES) Mr. Aakash Nirmal received the award in the Learning & Development World Summit 2019 held at Bengaluru on October 16, 2019.
Congratulating the team, JSPL’s Chief Operating Officer, Odisha Mr. Pankaj Gautam said, “Continuous development through learning and capacity building is a culture in JSPL and this award is a demonstration of our commitment and work towards building a learning organisation”.
Every month a series of training and development programme is organized at JSPL’s Angul unit to build and improve the skills of employees in various cadres. The training covers managerial, technical and behavioral skills of the employees.
JSPL, Angul unit’s Vice President and Head of HR & ES Mr. Alok Malhotra thanked all employees, and senior management for their cooperation. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Operating Officer, Odisha Mr Pankaj Gautam for his guidance and support in building a culture of learning at JSPL, Angul unit.
In February 2019, JSPL was conferred with ‘Gold Award for Training Excellence’ for its exemplary efforts in employee training and development activities by Apex India.
