Angul: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) Angul, observed the World Health Day 2019 in its premise on 7th April 2019, evening. As per the theme of the day “Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere” the observation focused on creating awareness about the health facilities in and around JSPL township and its periphery villages. Executive Director Maintenance Mr. Suresh Kumar was present on the occasion as the Chief Guest.
On this occasion the health department of JSPL organised various Slogan and Poster Competitions among the students of DAV Savitri Jindal High School and O.P. Jindal School and the winners of such competitions received the certificate of merit and trophy from the Chief-Guest of the function. ,
Renowned Cancer Surgeon of Utkal Hospital, Bhubaneswar Dr. Ranjan Kumar Mohanty spoke on prevention of Cancer.
Mr. Suresh Kumar, emphasized on spreading awareness among the people about access to proper health. Guest of Honour in the programme, Mr. Ravi Kant Somani, EVP-OHS- Group Head discussed about availability of proper health care facilities for township residents as well as surrounding community.
While,Dr. K.P. Behera, CMO, JSPL, Angul acknowledged about the importance of World Health Day in his welcome address.
The program was conducted by Dr. Snigdha Swapnica Pilli, Medical Department, JSPL, Angul. Mr.Alok Malhotra, Head – HR & ES, Mr.Basant Kumar Mishra, GM – HR & ES, Mr. Chhanda Charana Das, Principal, OP Jindal School, Dr.Niranjan Behera, Dr.Sanjeev Kumar Dwivedi, Dr.Athul Ravindran, Dr.Ambarish Patra , Mr.Pradeep Kumar Dutta and members of Jindal Mahila Samiti were present in the programme.
