JSPL Foundation Holds Community Workshop ‘OP Jindal Students to Scholar’ programme

Angul: JSPL Foundation, the CSR arm of Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL), has been supporting meritorious students from low income families in the periphery area villages to pursue higher education through OP Jindal Rural Scholarship programme. Taking this initiative one step forward, the Foundation organised a community workshop to launch ‘OP Jindal Students to Scholar programme’ at Angul to reach more students.
Leading scholarship listing portal Buddy4Study has joined as Knowledge Partner for the programme. Through this initiative JSPL Foundation can able to reach more number of students who avail information regarding and apply for various Scholarship Schemes that are available around for their better academic growth.
Sarpanchs of different Panchayats, School and College Principals with Teachers from its peripheral villages, officials of JSPL and Representatives of Buddy4Study participatd in this workshop.
Buddy4Study will support in reaching more students in the High Schools and Colleges from JSPL periphery. It will guide each eligible student in developing their profile and applying national and international scholarship as per their eligibility.
Extending his best wishes for this noble initiative, JSPL’s Angul Location Head and Executive Director (i/c) Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi said, “Our founder Shri O.P. Jindal Ji had always stressed on education and JSPL has been extending financial assistance to various students through O.P. Jindal Scholarship programme. I hope, this new initiative will encompass more students into various scholarship opportunities and help them to achieve their goals”.
Mrs. Puspa Satapathy, DGM CSR- JSPL thanked the participants for their overwhelming response. The Program concluded with the vote of thanks from the Principle of O.P.Jindal School Mr. Chhanda Charan Das.
Mr. Shaunak Ghose and Mr. Anirban Chatterjee from Buddy4Study; Mr. Ashutosh Mishra, Mr. Nilendu Chatterjee, Mr. Satya Ranjan Mishra, Ms. Ritamoni Borah and Mr. Tapas Mohanty of Team-CSR were present during the programme.
