Bhubaneswar: Mr Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and Managing Director, ITC Ltd met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneshwar today after the swearing in ceremony. MrPuri congratulated the Hon’ble Chief Minister for assuming office for the 5th consecutive term.
Expressing ITC’s support to the laudable efforts of the State, following the devastating cyclonic storm, MrPuri presented a cheque for an amount of Rs 5,00,00,000/- (Rupees Five crores) as ITC’s contribution to the corpus of the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) to strengthen the State Government’s efforts to provide extensive relief and rehabilitation.
Earlier, ITC worked closely with the State Government Authorities to provide relief material in the form of various food items and personal care products to the cyclone affected people. MrPuri also appraised the Hon’ble Chief Minister about ITC’s investments in the food processing and hospitality sectors as well as ITC’s social and farm forestry initiatives in the Malkangiri district in the State.
