Bhubaneswar: 1986 batch IPS officer Abhay assumes charge as the Director General of Police (DGP) and head of police force in Odisha. Prior to his posting, he was serving as the Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
A meticulous capacity builder, and also an astute trainer, new DGP has to first ramp up capacity of Odisha police to crack the crimogenic factors of violent crimes like rapes and murders.
