Paralakhemundi: International Women’s Day organized by Society for the Welfare of Weaker Sections(SWWS) at Raising of Rayagada block in Gajapati district.P.Maheswar,District Program Coordinator of SWWS presided over the program,where former Naib Sarpanch Krushna Badaraita and Lalita Behera,ICDS Supervisor joined as Guests of Honour. The speakers spoken on women empowerment by coinciding socio-economic balance of individual household & community development.Their decision making as women representives of PRI & SHGs can stimulate key role on governance.Among others Urmila Sabara,Basanti Bhuyan,Nalini Gomango;the women activists also spoke on the occasion.About 80 women participants from interior tribal villages attended the program.
