Kochi: Indian Navy undertook medical evacuation trials for transfer of persons needing assistance from L&M islands & from ships at sea for a contingency in future in the backdrop of CoViD 19.
Evac trials undertaken on board an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and inside isolation capsule in Dornier aircraft of Indian Navy. Feasibility study was undertaken for in-house modification to isolate the cockpit and cabin area. Simulated airlifting of patient also conducted.
