Bhubaneswar: 34th National Convention of the Indian institute of Architects “NATCON 2017” by The Indian Institute of Architects Odisha Chapter will start from 7th December 2017 at Convention center, Hotel Mayfair, Bhubaneswar.
NATCON is the largest annual convention of the Architects in India organized by the Indian Institute of Architects – IIA. This year NATCON will be hosted by IIA – Odisha Chapter in the capital city of Bhubaneswar – A perfect place where Indian architecture has flourished since time immemorial.
NATCON – 2017 will be inaugurated by Sj. Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas; Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in presence of Ar. Biswa Ranjan Nayak, President Council of Architects, Mr Amogh Gupta, Junior Vice President, IIA, Ar. Sagarendra Mohapatra, Chairman, IIA Odisha Chapter.
NATCON is happening in Bhubaneswar Odisha after a gap of 24 Years. This year also IIA is celebrating its 101th year of foundation.
The theme of the event is “Architectural Footprints Impact on Cities” with sub themes like A) Infrastructure and Technology, B) Environment And Sustainability C) Socio Cultural Imprint D) Legislator and Reform
Eminent experts in the field of Architects from across the Globe like, Ar Haider Ali from Sudan, Ar. Anjumala Pradhan and Ar Sudeep Paudyal from Nepal, Ar Qazi M Arif from Bangladesh, Padma Bhusan Ar Hafeez Contractor, Ar. Karan Grover, Ar. Pratima Joshi, Ar. Chandrajeet Singh Shah, Ar. Sumit Ghosh, Ar. Vinit Khanna, Ar. D. S. Ramakrishna Rao etc will take part in different panel discussion, speakers note and technical sessions talking about the changing scenario of World Architecture.
