At Least 7 Upcoming Bilateral Series
2021 will be one of the busiest calendar years of Team India as they will have to play at least seven bilateral series. Part of the series set to take place in the coming year includes those that had to be postponed or canceled earlier. Hopefully, Team India can use the pool of talented players to their advantage and honor all the upcoming bilateral series.
The first bilateral series of the Indian Cricket India is against England, which runs from January to March. During the England tour of India, they’ll have 4 Tests, 4 ODIs, and 4 T20I. India is then going to tour England later on in the year from July to September. Team India also has to tour Sri Lanka (June) for the limited-over series. Here, they will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20I.
Other notable upcoming bilateral series for Team India in 2021 include Tour of Zimbabwe (July) for a 3-match ODI series, India tour of England (July-September) for 5-tests, South Africa tour of India (September-October) for 3 ODIs & 5 T20Is, and New Zealand tour of India (November-December) for 2 Tests and 3 ODI matches. Team India will -then finish 2021 by flying to South Africa in December for a 3-match test series and 3-match T20I.
ICC Events in 2021
The India Cricket Team has two ICC events lined up for 2021. First in line is the ICC Asia Cup that takes place in Sri Lanka in June and July. It is definitely a long series considering all Asian countries will take part. However, the main event happens to be the ICC T20 World Cup, which was postponed. India will play host to the global events as per schedule from October through to November.
