IMD predicts Incessant continuous rainfall in Odisha during Dussehra due to cyclonic circulation

Bubaneswar: India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts Incessant continuous rainfall in Odisha due to cyclonic circulation during Dussehra this year.

The cyclonic circulation developed over the Bay of Bengal adjoining north Andaman is likely to intensify gradually after reaching the Andhra Pradesh coast by September 27. Later, it is expected to form into a low pressure, following which Odisha may experience continuous rainfall in its southern, northern and coastal parts.

The MeT predicted that the rains may continue till October 1, the day of Durga idol immersion.As per the weather forecast, if the cyclonic circulation develops into a low pressure by September 27, heavy rains would spoil the Dussehra celebrations, especially on September 28, 29 and 30.
