Phulbani: Heavy security cover across #Kandhamal district for peaceful celebrations of Christmas. Apart from district police, 21 platoons of security personnel including CRPF deployed in Naxal-prone areas. Police inspection tightened at six major sensitive points .
In a bid to avoid any untoward incident, police forces have been deployed and frisking of vehicles is being conducted at several places.
The areas situated near NH-59 including Chari Chhak, Tini Chhak and Simanbadi Chhak have been kept under police scanner. While police personnel have been deployed in front of all churches, police officials have been stationed at sensitive places. Moreover, senior undercover cops were also engaged for taking stock of the situation.
