Health Care App developed by student of GIFT, Bhubaneswar bag award with cash prize in National Hackathon

Bhubaneswar: The Health Care App, an android based app developed by the student of Gandhi Institute For Technology (GIFT), Bhubaneswar provides the user and the hospitals to interact with each other using two different interfaces one for the user and the other for the hospital admin. Datasets used in the application are geo locations of Dispensaries and blood banks .The application will provide information based on the previous data collected from the hospitals of the increase of a particular disease during a particular time-period based on gender, region, age etc.
The application also provides other services like ambulance , NGO, nursing ,companion, insurance, nearby hospitals ,clinics information , virtual nursing assistant to answer all your queries pertaining to medicine , appointment with doctor as per your preference , Booking an ICU Bed, types of blood available in different blood banks and community chat for patients . It also shows you the stories and videos of fighting the diseases.
Hackathon is a programming marathon which is done to get innovative ideas and solution for the real life problems. As a part of this, the app was developed by the students of GIFT, Bhubaneswar with an objective of finding out solution in health sector.
It helped the team from GIFT to bag the coveted award with cash prize from the honourable Union Minister, Electronics & IT and Law & Justice, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad in the recently concluded #OpenGovDataHack National Challenge organised by NIC, IAMAI in collaboration with StartupIndia as a part of the Start-up Eco- system Development Program held at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, NewDelhi. Speaking on the occasion as Guest of Honour, Shri Ajay Sawhney, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT lauded the efforts of the technocrats for giving a vent to their ideas for creating a better tomorrow.
It is to be reiterated that, GIFT has won two previous National Hackathon Championships held at Guwahati and Noida in 2017 & 2018 respectively.
