Bhubaneswar: Nonresident Odias residing at gulf countries had gathered together for first time at Pal heights hotel at Bhubaneswar on 10th August to showcase their affectionate towards their motherland.
The Gulf Odia Association (GOA) had been created and first ever it’s function had been organized by Mr. Ajaya Kumar Das, Mr. Bana Bihari Mohanty, Mr. Pyarimohan Mallick and Mr. Mirza Mustafa Baig from Saudi Arabia. Mr. Ajay Kumar Das had introduced the members and emphasized the purpose of such organization in motherland Odisha.
The function was sponsored by Chairman of Sai Ashribad Infratec Mr. Subodh Kumar Rout, SBI NRI Bhubaneswar branch Manager Mr. Pranab Kumar Mahanta, Mr. Shailesh Upadhyay From Yes Bank and Mr. Mrityunjaya Pattanayak from SADC. All the sponsors had presented the detail of their organization and how to invest in their respective organization safely.
In second half, famous Odishi dancer Kumari Manisha had performed the Odishi dance. In this occasion the chief coordinator of Kalingan Dammam of Saudi Arabia Mr. Shaikh Sarafat, Bahrain Odia association member Mr. Mahesh Prasad Das, Abu Dhabi Odia association member Mr. Himanshu Sekhar Pal, and Riyadh Odia Association (ROSA) president Mr. Debasish Rout were present on this occasion.
In the end, famous Odia young singer Sangram Mohanty and Sasmita Biswal had mesmerized the members with Old Odia and Hindi Songs.
