New Delhi: The Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presided over the Conference of Chief Ministers / Ministers of Water Resources of North-Eastern Region on the Draft Bill in respect of proposed North East Water Management Authority (NEWMA), here today.
The Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Social Justice & Empowerment, Shri Rattan Lal Kataria, Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Tripura, Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya and Water Resources Ministers of NER States participated in the Conference. Secretary, Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India, Shri UP Singh, besides senior officers of concerned Central and State Governments also attended the deliberations.
