Four reforms will help Madhya Pradesh in getting Rs 14 thousand 237 crores: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the implementation of the four reforms required for the Atmanirbhar Bharat package should be ensured within the time-limit in the state. Shri Chouhan was reviewing the ongoing activities pertaining to reforms to be made for the Atmanirbhar Bharat package, in view of the financial situation emerged because of Corona crisis. Minister of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Shri Bisahulal Singh, Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh, Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Shri Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon were present at the meeting.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the states will be able to take 2 percent additional amount of GSDP as loan under the Atmanirbhar Bharat package. For this, conditions of reforms like One Nation One Ration Card, simplification of trade, improvement in urban local bodies and reforms in power sector have been laid down by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It was informed in the meeting that additional Rs 14 thousand 237 crores will be received on implementation of the four reforms.

Aadhaar seeding of all ration cards and beneficiaries under One Nation-One Ration Card system will be completed by October 31, 2020. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that ineligible persons should be removed from the list after examining those who are not taking ration for the last six months. Under trade simplification, the district level reform plan is to be implemented by the departments concerned.

Arrangements have to be made to link property tax to collector guidelines, to develop a system of periodic increase in rates of consumer charges such as water supply, drainage and sewage under the reforms in the urban local bodies. Similarly, a strategy has to be prepared under the DBD scheme for agricultural consumers in the energy sector.

Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Commercial Tax Shri Manoj Govil and Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri Sanjay Shukla were present at the meeting.
