Report by Akshya Rout; Jajpur: Police officials on Monday seized fake Jarada and other tobacco items worth of several lakhs and arrested four persons at Bidyadharpur village under Bairi police station in Jajpur district while carrying out raid at a house . All the four arrested persons have been identified as Tapan Behera (40) , Narayan Nath (48), Chandan Nath (24) and Bulu Pal (44) of Bidyadharpur village . Police seized three machines, fake labels and logos of many reputed Jarada and tobacco making companies , said Chinaya Nayak the Sub- Divisional Police Officer (SDPO of Jajpur Road.
All the four arrested persons and others were running the illegal trade since last year. All the accused persons are expert in making fake wrappers of branded companies. They were booked under sections- 420, 323 and 34 of IPC and sections- 103 and 104 of Trademark Act , 1999. More persons will be arrested in this case.
