Film maker Jitendra Mishra selected Jury for Czech Republic film festival – Junior Fest

Bhubaneswar: Acclaimed Film producer & Siffcy festival director Jitendra Mishra is selected jury for the prestigious 11th International Film Festival for Children and Youth – Junior fest in Czech Republic. The festival is scheduled from 9 to 15 November 2018 in five different cities, Pilsen, Horšovský Týn, Dobřany, Domažlice and Přeštice of the Pilsen region. The festival annually visits over 12,000 spectators; it offers more than 100 film screenings, 20 practical workshops and creative workshops and ten other accompanying events. The festival has also focused on providing year-round educational events for pupils of elementary and secondary school students.

Born in Titlagarh, Odisha, Jitendra Mishra is one of the few Indian film producers & promoters who have been able to create a benchmark in ‘Alternative method of Film Production, Distribution & Promotion’ at international level. Committed towards meaningful cinema, Jitendra has been associated only with socially relevant films made for young audience. He has already been associated with the production, distribution and promotion of more than 110 films in all categories. Many of them have got worldwide acclamation and recognition.

Jitendra was selected Jury for the prestigious ‘European Children’s film association’ recently, he travelled to Schlingel International film festival, Germany last month for this role. His current production ‘The Last Color’ directed by Michelin Starred Chef Vikas Khanna is all set for world release soon, the fist look of the film was launched during the official event of prestigious Cannes Film festival this year. He has been the festival director of the unique film festival ‘SIFFCY’ (Smile Int’l FF for Children & Youth) which he has conceived the idea & designed for India’s most leading development organization Smile Foundation.

“This is my second invitation as Jury from Czech Republic itself in last 6 months. We are exploring opportunities to collaborate with the leading festivals, film makers & credible organizations from Czech Republic with our festival siffcy to exchange our art, culture, and values through Cinema. The festival director of JuniorFest Ms Judita Soukupova visited our festival SIFFCY last year and Ms Marketa Pasmova & Ms Jarslava Hynstova from the most credible Zlin fest are visiting our festival this year. I am definitely thankful to Junior fest for this opportunity. We are looking at a bigger Czech collaboration this year”, said Jitendra on this occasion.

Awarded with the prestigious ‘Son of Odisha’ (Odia Pua), ‘Young Jury, ‘Youth Icon’, ‘Youth inspiration’ & many other awards, Jitendra Mishra is also elected Board of Director for the most credible and oldest children & youth media network CIFEJ. He has been an active member of the Cannes producers’ network and also been selected as Jury for many leading international film festivals & forums.
