Fakir Mohan University Professor Dr. Sipra Sagarika represented Land right issues of world indigenous communities at IUAES conference in Poland

Bhubaneswar: Dr. Sipra Sagarika, Assistant Prof. in Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, successfully represented the Land right issues of world indigenous communities at International Union and Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences. (IUAES), conference at Poznan , Poland ( 27th-31st August 2019). The forum was to discuss identity, culture, environment , climate change and land rights issues of indigenous communitues across world.

The theme was ‘ world solidarities’ and representatives across Brazil, Japan, Philadelphia, South Africa , America , Poland and India were voicing their crisis and resiliences towards negotiation of such issues. It was widely spread forin where more than 23 countries voiced their representations and concerns. Dr . Sagarika represented the South Asian perspective of indignity with specific reference to Kondha community in Niyamgiri Movement. She was accompanied by her scholar Miss Palak Dhiman, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Her active contribution towards the indigenous world solidarities have brought immense laurence to the country and her state of origin Odisha.
