Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today had a discussion with mayors of all municipal corporations and took information about the measures taken and arrangements made in various urban areas for prevention of corona virus infection, He said that the lockdown should be strictly implemented and special attentions should be paid towards maintenance of cleanliness.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel today spoke to Mayor of Municipal Corporation Charoda Mrs. Chandrakala Mandale, Durg Municipal Corporation Mayor Mr. Dheeraj Bakliwal, Ambikapur Mayor Dr Ajay Tirkey, Raigarh Mayor Mr. Janki Katju, Chirmiri Mayor Ms Kanchan Jaiswal, Korba Mayor Mr. Rajkishore Prasad, Bilaspur Mayor Mr. Ram Sharan Yadav, Birgaon Mayor Ambika Yadav, and Mayor Dhamtari Mr. Vijay Dewangan, on phone today. Chief Minister said during the discussion that the lockdown should be implemented strictly, and all the essential services should be provided without interruption in all the urban areas. Meanwhile, cleanliness and hygiene should be paid special attention. Offices concerning essential services should be regularly sanitized. It should be ensured that poor families do not face any inconvenience during lockdown and they get ration etc on time.
Chief Minister said during the discussion with Mayors that employees concerning water supply, electricity supply and cleanliness should be available 24×7 in urban areas. Control rooms in the cities should also be operational regularly. Ration shop, grocery shop, medical shops, vegetable shops and dairy etc should open for given time limit. Support of NGOs would be sought for providing help to poor and distressed people. Proper facilities and cleanliness should be ensured in hospitals and home delivery service should be started for ration.
