Report by Kahnu Nanda, Jagatsinghpur: The eminent Odia literate Manoj Das’s wife Pratigyan Devi passed away in Sri Aurobinda Ashrama hospital at Puducherry on Wednesday, she was 80 years suffering age-old disease since years, informed deceased family member’s in Kujanga fifty km away from here. Pratigyan Devi was daughter of late Kujanga king former Erasama MLA Narayan Birabar Samant and Ratnamala Jema. After she married with Manoj Das she had started residing in Aurobinda Ashrama in Puducherry and continued her literary works till death. She is remembered publishing children magazine Jannha Mamu in Odia language. Several prominent personalities of Jagatsinghpur district have condoled demise of Pratigyan Devi including her kin brother Biswmbar Samanta, sister Dr Bani Samanta and nephew Dr Sidhartha Das.
