ECI starts process for Bye Elections to One Rajya Sabha seat in Odisha

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday starts process for Bye Elections to 2 Rajya Sabha seats including one in Odisha.
Elections for one seat in place of Bishnu Charan Das would be held on 25th May.

The Commission has decided to hold bye-elections to the Council of States from Manipur and Odisha to fill up the above said vacancies in accordance with the following programmme: –

3. Scrutiny of nominations 16th  May, 2017 (Tuesday)

5. Date of Poll 25th May, 2017 (Thursday)
6. Hours of Poll 9.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M.
7. Counting of Votes 25th May, 2017 (Thursday) at 5.00 P.M.
8. Date before which election shall be completed 27th May, 2017 (Saturday)
